Are your rings water resistant?

Yes, our rings are water resistant. You can wash your hands and shower with them. The protective coating we apply keeps the wood from becoming damaged. We apply around 20 coats of finish on each ring. We also offer free refinishings for when the finish wears down, so your ring can always be protected. If the rings finish wears down and you do not send it in to be refinished, it can be exposed to possible damage.

What happens if my ring does not fit?

We offer discounted pricing for a new ring made in a new size, since wood itself cannot be resized. More information can be found on our “Sizing” page.

I love your rings but need one within your 6 week time frame posted. Can I rush the processing?

At times I can offer rush processing. However, currently I am not in a position to offer rush processing. I do not offer guarantees to meet a certain deadline of yours as that is up to you – when you place your order and what method of shipping you choose. I am transparent about my processing times so that you can plan accordingly.

Do you take custom requests?

Yes, we love custom requests! Email us at service@shopwoodenwear.com to let us know what you have in mind! We do not charge consulting fees.

What does the handwritten inscription look like?

It varies, as it is handwritten, but a few examples can be seen through some of our recent Instagram photos, shown here:

We’ve inscribed things anywhere from a speech waveform to longitude and latitude coordinates, as well as the standard wedding dates, initials and short phrases.

Are there special considerations when wearing a wooden ring?

Yes, there are. The ring should be covered with gloves or taken off when dealing with chemicals, forces, or thorns, for instance. Examples would be cleaning with household chemicals, rock climbing, and gardening. The wood is strong and protected with the finish, but neither are indestructible and should be treated with care in order to preserve their life. This is not an extensive list but should be used to give an idea of how to care for your ring.
